Adrienne Warren (born May 6, 1987) is an actress, singer and dancer known for her work on Broadway, film and television.
Early life and career
Warren was born in Hampton Roads, Virginia. She performed with the groups The Dream Engine and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Shortly after graduating from Marymount Manhattan College in 2009, she was cast in the Encores! production of The Wiz. She next played the role of Lorell Robinson in a touring production of Dreamgirls. She debuted on Broadway in the role of Danielle in Bring It On (2012). In 2016, she played the roles of Gertrude Saunders and Florence Mills in the musical Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed on Broadway and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance.
Her film and television credits include Orange Is the New Black, the upcoming TV movie Irreversible, and guest appearances on the shows Blackbox and as Rachel Manning in the Blue Bloods episode "Ends and Means" (2013).
