Adele Watson (January 3, 1890 – March 27, 1933) was an American actress active from 1922 through 1933. She is known for her appearances in The Lying Truth (1922), Don't Doubt Your Husband (1924), Good as Gold (1927), and Once and Forever (1927). She often embodied working-class women in difficult situations.
Life and career
Adele Watson was born on January 3, 1890, in Morris, Minnesota.
She made her screen debut in 1922, playing Ellie Clairborne in Marion Fairfax's The Lying Truth, starring Noah Beery, Marjorie Daw, and Tully Marshall. The same year, she had a minor, uncredited role in Sam Wood-directed Beyond the Rocks, with Gloria Swanson, Rudolph Valentino, and Edythe Chapman.
Watson's last film credit was the 1932 comedy Pack Up Your Troubles, in which she played Annie alongside Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, and Don Dillaway. After this movie, she had uncredited roles in three films: Three on a Match (1932), Treason (1933), and Pilgrimage (1933).
Death
Watson died of double pneumonia on March 27, 1933, in Los Angeles, California. She was 43.
