Ada Rasario Cecere (February 26, 1893 – 1981) was an American painter, muralist, artist, and educator from New York.
Early life and education
Ada Rasario Cecere was born Ada Matilda Mary Rasario in 1893 in New York City, New York, to Stanislausio Rasario and Rosa Lupi.
She studied art at Art Students League, National Academy of Design, and Beaux-Arts Institute of Design, New York City. She also traveled in Europe and attended art schools in Paris, France, and Rome, Italy. While in Rome, she met her future husband, American sculptor Gaetano Cecere.
Career
In 1941, Cecere fulfilled a commission for the U.S. Treasury Department, designing a mural for the S.S. President Jackson. In 1947, she created a sand-carved mural for the National Competition of the Treasury Department.
From 1947 to 1972, she taught painting classes in her studio. She also taught at Pike County Arts and Crafts in Milford, Pennsylvania, where she was part of the original committee.
Cecere's artwork is held at the Norfolk Museum of Arts and Science in Norfolk, Virginia; the Oklahoma City Museum; the Ohio University Founder's Collection, and others. Her murals are also in several New York hotels.

Personal life
Cecere married American sculptor Gaetano Cecere on January 7, 1924, in New York City. The two had met when she was studying in Rome, Italy.
