Biography
A. M. Grillon was a French-born American Esperantist and language teacher.
Grillon lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he taught French and Spanish at the Central Manual Training School and Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art. In addition, at the School of Industrial Art, he headed the Department of Modern Languages, and his wife taught German there.
Grillon was probably the first Esperantist in Philadelphia. The local Esperanto club he founded was then one of the most active in the United States. In 1906, he was one of the vice presidents of the American Esperanto Association.
