A. G. Manikannan

A. J. Manikannan is an Indian politician and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate from Thirunavalur constituency in the 1996 election. He contested the seat again in the 2001 elections and came second to K. G. P. Gnanamoorthy of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. There had been complaints that he had not been looking after his constituency and that he had been favouring his family's interests.
