Jack Gilinsky is an American Vine star and singer who is part of the pop-rap duo "Jack and Jack" with Jack Johnson.
Early life
Jack Finnegan Gilinsky was born on 10 September 1996 in Omaha, Nebraska. His father is David Gilinsky, who is also popular on Instagram with over 100k followers. Jack has two sisters, Molly and Laura -- both very popular on social media.
He attended Omaha Westside High School in Omaha.
Career

Jack's career in entertainment began in 2007 with the creation of a YouTube channel, MotherFalconQuagmire, with his childhood friend Jack Johnson. They used to produce short, satirical parodies of songs and lip-synching music videos.
Vine
In the summer of 2013, they joined Vine as JackAndJackOfficial a few months after Vine was launched. The contents of their Vine clips were similar to those of their earlier YouTube videos -- short, funny clips, and humorous parodies/covers or popular songs. Their moment of glory came when one of their clips, Nerd Vandals, went viral and was picked up by HuffingtonPost.
Their newfound fame got them a chance to join the Magcon tour (Meet and greet convention of social media influencers) in 2014.
The same year, they also received a Teen Choice Award nomination for Most Popular Viner in 2014. The next year, they were voted the top Social Climber at the 2015 MTV Woodie Awards.
Their fan following on Vine continued to soar and as of January 2017, their shared account has 6.2 million followers with almost 2 billion loops.
Music
The two jacks extended their Vine partnership and formed a pop-rap duo, Jack and Jack, which also met with huge success. They released their first single, Distance, in January 2014.
The same year, the duo relocated to Los Angeles to take their entertainment career seriously.
By the end of 2014, with songs like Doing It Right, Like That, and Wild Life, they made the Billboard Top Digital Songs List. "Wild Life" reached 87th spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
In their musical adventure, they collaborated with noted musicians like Shawn Mendes, Steve Aoki, Max Martin and Savan Kotecha.
Personal Life
In an April 2015 interview, Jack stated he is dating Madison Beer, also a singer.
Trivia
The two Jacks -- Gilinsky and Johnson -- when met each other the first day of kindergarten, were wearing the same shirt.
