Biography

Zara Taylor (born 5 November 1983) is a Canadian actor and singer-songwriter. Born in Clearwater, British Columbia, and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Career

Taylor is known in the trance scene under the name Zara and Zara Taylor The single Lost by Roger Shah (under the pseudonym Sunlounger) and Zara Taylor was #1 on the Beatport Trance charts and voted the Tune of the Year in Armin van Buuren's radio show "A State of Trance" in 2008. Previously, she had worked as a singer with house DJ and producer Sultan. In December of 2018, Will Atkinson's remix of Zara's single "Lost" climbed back up the Trance charts to #1 and held the spot well into 2019.

Whilst filming the Masters of Horror episode Cigarette Burns in 2005, she was accidentally blinded. Fortunately, her eyes had recovered four days later.
