Biography

William Charles May  (1853 - 1931) was an English sculptor and painter. He was a student of Italian sculptor, Raffaelle Monti.

Some of his famous works include Armada Memorial on Plymouth Hoe and busts of George V, Walter Besant (C 064).  He painted a fresco for St Peter’s Belsize Park.
