Vasile Chitu (born 1896) was a Romanian Brigadier-General during World War II. He began his career in 1939, and in 1941 became Chief of Staff 7th Corps Area. Late that year, Chitu would serve as Chief of Staff VII Corps and General Officer Commanding 1st Training Division, and finally retire.
