Biography

Valeria Masarsky, née Trifancova, (born June 1, 1979) is a former competitive figure skater for Latvia. She is a four-time Latvian national champion and qualified for the free skate at three ISU Championships – 1998 Europeans in Milan, Italy; 1999 Europeans in Prague, Czech Republic; and 1999 Worlds in Helsinki, Finland. She trained in Russia, in Riga, Latvia; and at the Oakton Ice Arena in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Valeria Trifancova moved to Chicago Illinois in 2000. Married Gary Masarsky in 2001.

She has 2 children:

Ariela Masarsky - 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Intermediate Ladies Bronze medalist. Valeria Masarsky (Trifancova) coaches Ariela Masarsky together with Alexander Ouriashev ( former coach of Gracie Gold).

Mark Masarsky -Plays Hockey in Northbrook Bluehawks, 2017 Wolves Cup Champion in Squirt AA division.

Currently Valeria Masarsky lives in Northbrook IL.

She coaches at Northbrook Sports Center since 2011. P
