Biography

Anthony Carreiro is an American actor and performing arts professor. Carreiro received his high school diploma in 1972 when he graduated from Ithaca High School in Ithaca, New York. He was given his Bachelor of Arts in Cornell University in 1982. He was given also his Master of Fine Arts from Professional Actor Training Program in the University of Washington in 1985. He currently works as a professor of acting courses at Long Beach City College.
He appeared in television programs, commercials, and films. One of his television credentials is a gay English professor in the sitcom Doctor Doctor. He is a certified sword fighter from The Society of American Fight Directors and a fighting choreographer for theatrical works and films, as well as stage combat courses in colleges.
He is perhaps best known for his roles on The Golden Girls, playing a waiter (twice), but most notably as a doctor in the episode "72 Hours", when Rose receives a letter from a hospital telling her she may have been transfused with HIV-tainted blood.
He resides in Lake Balboa, California. He has a wife Kathleen and daughter Remy.
