Tom Riley was a prominent English tattoo artist in the 19th century. Riley served in the British Army and fought in the Second Boer War in the period 1899-1902 and in Sudan. Riley learned drawing at the Mechanical Institute and opened a tattoo shop on the Strand in London. Riley tattooed King Edward VII. He trained George Burchett.
