Timothy Landfield

Timothy Landfield (born 22 August 1950) is an American stage, television, and film actor known to portray Dr. Julius Hunter on the TNT series The Last Ship. He has worked with such notable names as Rob Lowe, William H. Macy, Judd Hirsch, among others.

Early life

Timothy Landfield was born on 22 August 1950 in Palo Alto, California.

Career

Landfield has appeared in seven Broadway shows and has done residencies with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York; The Shakespeare Workshop, New York; and the South Coast Repertory Theatre, Costa Mesa, California.

He made his television debut in 1986, portraying the character of "Chet Hudson" in two episodes of Irna Phillips' TV series As the World Turns. In the same year, he was seen as "Oliver Walcott" in the TV movie George Washington II: The Forging of a Nation, which tracks the life of George Washington as the first president of the United States of America.

Two years later, in 1988, he made his film debut as "Sam" in director Bob Swaim's drama/thriller Masquerade, starring Rob Lowe, Meg Tilly, and Kim Cattrall.

Over the following years, Landfield was seen in a wide range of television series and films, most notably Law & Order (1996), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), The X-Files (2000-2002), Six Feet Under (2003), The Young and the Restless (2010), and The Last Ship (2015).

Most recently, in 2020, Landfield was seen in Tyler Townsend's Darling, You're So Mean to Me, playing the role of the older version of character Phil (played by Petteri Lassila).

In addition, Landfield teaches acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts at their Los Angeles campus.

Personal life

Landfield is married to his actress Breon Gorman since 1990. The couple has two children.
