Biography
Thomas Gottweiss (* 1979 in Apolda) ist ein deutscher Politiker der Christlich-Demokratischen Union (CDU).
Leben
Gottweiss studierte Kommunikationswissenschaften. Seit 2004 ist er Mitglied im Kreistag Weimarer Land für die CDU. Seit Mai 2014 ist er hauptamtlicher Bürgermeister der Landgemeinde Ilmtal-Weinstraße. Am 27. Oktober 2019 gelang Gottweiss bei der Landtagswahl in Thüringen 2019 der Einzug als Abgeordneter in den Landtag Thüringen als Direktkandidat im Wahlkreis Weimar I – Weimarer Land II mit 29,4 %. Gottweiss ist verheiratet.
