Biography
Thomas George Love (1793-1845) was a British Agent and bookkeeper. He was founder of The British Packet, and Argentine News, and its editor from 1826 to 1845.
Biography
Love was born in London, England (United Kingdom), had arrived at the port of Buenos Aires in 1820 from Cape of Good Hope. In 1825 Thomas George wrote Five years in Buenos Aires (1820-1825), a book where he tells his experiences in the city. In 1826 he creates the newspaper British Packet, edited for the British population in Buenos Aires. After his death took over the newspaper Gilbert Ramsay.
Thomas George Love died in 1845, was buried on November 30, in the British cemetery of Buenos Aires.
