Biography

Lieutenant General Thomas Farrington (1664 – 7 October 1712) was a British Army officer who raised the 29th (Worcestershire) Regiment of Foot.

Military career

Farrington was commissioned into the 2nd Regiment of Footguards December 1688. He raised the 29th (Worcestershire) Regiment of Foot in 1694 and went on to serve as Member of Parliament for Malmesbury from 1705 to 1713. He was later promoted to major-general.
