Biography

Thelma Percy (October 20, 1903 — July 6, 1970) was an Irish-born American actress during the silent film era. She was the younger sister of actress Eileen Percy(1900 — 1973).

Life and career

Percy was born on October 20, 1903, in Belfast, Ireland (now Northern Ireland). She made her screen debut in 1920, playing "Sosad" in William Worthington's The Beggar Prince, starring Sessue Hayakawa and Beatrice La Plante

After this movie, she appeared in five more in 1920 and two in 1921. In her last screen appearance, she starred as "Thelma" in Arvid E. Gillstrom's short comedy An Idle Roomer with Harry Sweet and Bud Jamison.

Percy had a short film career spanning only two years, and she was never able to achieve her elder sister Eileen's success or fame.

Between February 04 and June 10, 1922, Percy appeared in a Broadway musical titled The Blushing Bride.

Personal life

Percy married W.A. Brady Jr. on October 27, 1920.

Death

Percy died on July 6, 1970, in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 66.
