Biography

Syed Muzaffar Hussain (born 26 August 1966) is an Indian National Congress politician from Thane district who has served on the Legislative Council for the state of Maharashtra. He was elected to the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation in 1991.

Hussain is also a builder, and has helped fund construction projects in the district of Thane that have included parks and hospital. He was initially elected to the legislative council in 2004, where he served until 2009. He contributes to chair the youth Congress committee.

Hussain is among the 5 recently appointed working presidents for the Maharashtra State Congress Committee.

Political Career

Muzaffar Hussain started his political journey as a Youth Congress worker in 1985. Since then, he has held different positions within the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. He has served as a Member of the Legislative Committee (M.LC) twice.
