Suzanne RD Tata (born Suzanne Brière), also known as Suzanne Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata, was a French woman, and the wife of businessman Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata. Suzanne is known for being the first woman in India to drive a car.
She was born in Paris, France, and was French by birth. She married businessman Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata, the chairperson of the Tata Group, and a part of the prominent Tata family. After her marriage, she changed her name to Sooni, and converted to Zoroastrianism from Christianity. The couple had five children Rodabeh, Jehangir, Jimmy, Sylla and Dorab. Jehangir took over his father's business, while, Sylla, was married to businessman Dinshaw Maneckji Petit. Their daughter, Rattanbai, was the wife of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. She died in London, England, United Kingdom.
