Biography

Stefani Robinson is an American television writer best known for her work on FX's Atlanta. In 2018, she has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for writing the season 2 episode, "Barbershop". She has won two Writers Guild of America Awards for her work.

Early life

Robinson moved to the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, Georgia from Hong Kong when she was 8 years old.

Career

Robinson started her career as an assistant at a talent agency. After submitting her script to FX, she got her job on Atlanta as they were looking for a female writer. She has received praise yet has been the subject of sexism for her “female” perspective on the show.

She previously wrote for Man Seeking Woman.

Robinson signed a production deal with FX in 2017.
