Biography

Sri Rishi Prabhakar is the founder of Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra. He also developed many programs like Siddha Samadhi Yoga, KayaKalpaKriya, Hundread Percent Memory and many other programs for the well being of humanity.

Education

Prabhakar graduated from Bangalore University. After receiving a master's degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Ottawa, he completed his M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Career

Prabhakar oversaw an organization with 100 ashrams in 20 cities. SSY's headquarters are located at a 32-acre campus in Rishi Tapokshetra which is "a yoga finishing school of sorts for a three-day advanced course". Gurujis organization has a cancer research center whose goal is to eliminate cancer through yoga and healthy eating. He was on the Board of World Religious Leaders for the Elijah Interfaith Institute.

According to Prabakhar's web site, he received his spiritual training from his guru, Bhagwan Visweswaraiah and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Its also mentioned elsewhere that Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev used to be an instructor at SSY in his earlier years.

Personal life

Rishi Prabhakar was married to Arundhati Ma and has a son Sidhhanth. Swami ji left his body on 16 February 2014 at Bangalore Karnataka.
