Biography
Sofia Hublitz (born June 1, 1999) is an American actress, best known for starring alongside Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as their daughter, in the American television series Ozark.
MasterChef Junior
Sofia Hublitz made her debut television appearance in 2013, where she was one of the contestants on MasterChef Junior (U.S. season 1), where she finished in 8th place. During one episode of the cooking competition, Hublitz is seen breaking down crying after making an error. Judge and presenter of the television show, Gordon Ramsay, is quick to assist her, managing to stop Hublitz's tears, and helping her to start over with tips on best method and procedure. Despite only being on the show for three episodes, she had become popular with viewers.
Actress career
In 2014, Hublitz landed the role of Danielle Hoffman in two episodes of the American television series Louie. She followed this in 2016 with an appearance as the "Young" Sylvia in a single episode of the American television series Horace and Pete. In 2017, Hublitz landed her first major role as Charlotte Byrde, the fifteen-year-old daughter of financial planner Marty Byrde played by Jason Bateman, and mom played by Laura Linney, in the American television series Ozark, where the family from Chicago find themselves involved in business with a large Mexican drug cartel. Hublitz also acts alongside co-stars Julia Garner and Skylar Gaertner.
