Sharon Veronica LaFraniere (born June 15, 1957) is an American journalist who has covered southern Africa and China for The New York Times. Since returning to the United States, she has covered domestic topics extensively including military hospitals, gun violence, and the roll-out of healthcare.gov.
LaFraniere previously wrote for The Washington Post in Moscow.
