Biography

Senthamarai was an Indian film and stage actor who acted in more than 300 Tamil, Telugu, Kannada films in five decades. Senthamarai had acted as the villain with Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, K. Bhagyaraj, Thiyarajan. He has acted notable movies like Moondru Mugam, Malaiyoor Mambattiyan, Thambikku Entha Ooru, Thooral Ninnu Pochchu, Thanikattu Raja, Guru Sishyan.

Early career

Senthamarai was born as Kalyanaraman Senthamarai, in 1935, at Kancheepuram. His family includes his father Thiruvengadam, his mother Vedammal, and brother Kamalakannan. Senthamarai has acted many stage plays along with Sivaji Ganesan and M. G. Ramachandran before he acts in movies.[1]

In a leading role

In 1980's he acted mainly in villainous roles, but also did character roles opposite many leading actors of those times. In the film Andha June 16-Am Naal (1984) he did a leading role as well.

Family

He was married to Kousalya Senthamarai who is currently acts in Tamil serials.

Death

He died on 14 August 1992 while suffering from a heart attack while performing in a play called Kalyana Malai.
