Pro career

In July 2000, Marcos lost to Roberto Garcia, Garcia would go on to be the IBF Super Featherweight Champion. It was an undercard bout of a WBC Light Welterweight Championship fight between Julio César Chávez and Kostya Tszyu.

Biggest victory

His biggest win was over hall of famer Johnny Tapia in Chicago, Illinois. This bout was the main event of a TeleFutura card.
