Biography
Alhaji Saidu Umaru Namaska Dan Malam (born 1937) is the Sarkin Sundan the traditional ruler of Kontagora Emirate. His father Umaru Sarkin Kudu is the son of the founder and first ruler Kontagora Emirate Malam Umaru Nagwamatse.
Eduation and carier
He started his early school at Bida Middle School and obtain his B'sc at Ahmadu Bello University. He started his career in Nigeria Police Force as police officer in 1961. Before his retirement and becoming Emir, he was the president in North Western judicial of States. In January 1974 he became the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Emirate being the sixth emir of kontogora known as Sarkin Sudan.
The Sarkin Sudan Kontagora complain of living in his palace for over 36 years without tap water which they uses the well-water, this complain came in when Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, the governor of the states visited his palace for 2011 election campaign.
In 2013 he lost his wife Hajiya Sa'a Namaska the governor of Kebbi State Alhaji Saidu Dakingari visited him for condolences of his wife which she died at the age of 58 at (Usman danfodio teaching hospital sokoto).
