Biography

Sadamichi Maekawa from the Tohoku University, was awarded the status of Fellow in the American Physical Society, after he was nominated by the Topical Group on Magnetism in 2007, for seminal contributions to understanding spin-dependent transport in magnetic materials and nanostructures, high Tc superconductivity, transition metal oxides, the basic physics of spin-electronics, and developing exact numerical many-body techniques to study strongly-correlated electronic systems.
