Biography

Rupam Bhuyan (Assamese: ৰুপম ভূঞা; born 6 March 1980) is an Indian playback singer from Assam. He is the frontman of the Indian fusion band North East Breeze. He sang in numerous Assamese films including Khobh, Anuradha, Mumtaz and Akash Chuboloi Mon. He was nominated for Prag Cine Awards-2013 and Prag Cine Awards-2015 in the Best Playback Singer (male) category for the films Mumtaz and Khobh. Got the Award in 2013. He was nominated in the Best Male Playback Singer of Assam category for Ramdhenu Viewers choice award 2015-16 for the song Enekoye Lahe Lahe. He composed the theme song for prestigious Jeevan Kite and River Festival-2015 as a tribute to the river Brahmaputra.
