Robert Bob Ashby was a British actor and writer who was the only son of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy. He was known for his role in film Jinnah.
Ashby was born as Rashid Suhrawardy to Pakistani politician Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy who served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Russian mother Vera Alexandrovna Tiscenko Calder of Polish descent. He received his early education from the Charterhouse School and did his graduation from the University of Oxford.
He attended Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Later, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. He also acted in the film Jinnah.
