Richard Alan Fox (born 1943) is an Australian medical physician. He was the son of Alan Fox, a businessman, and Rosalind Nee Morris.
He attended Aquinas College, Perth, the University of Western Australia and the University of Oxford. From 1970-1974 he was a Research Fellow in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Sussex and then for next four years a Scientific Assistant at the Institute of Cancer Research with the status of Lecturer at the University of London.
In 2000 he became the Vice Chairman of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine.
