Biography

Reed DeMordaunt (born October 1, 1963 in Rochester, Minnesota) is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2010 representing District 14 in the B seat.

Education

DeMordaunt earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and master's degrees from the University of South Carolina and American University in Cairo.

Elections

  • 2012 DeMordaunt won the 15 May 2012, Republican primary with 2,434 votes (72.5%) against Michael Greenway, 921 votes (27.5%); he may face Democratic nominee Glida Bothwell in the November 6, 2012, general election.
  • 2010 When District 14B Representative Raúl Labrador left the seat open to run for U.S. Representative for Idaho's 1st congressional district, DeMordaunt won the three-way May 25, 2010, Republican primary with 3,910 votes (54.1%) against Nathan Mitchell and Christopher MacCloud, and the November 2, 2010, general election with 16,624 votes (67.8) against Steve Berch (D).
