Prithvi Singh Mehta (1909–1996) was an Indian historian. He was the author of "Hamara Rajasthan" (1950), the seminal historical reference on the history of the state of Rajasthan.
He was one of the founding members of the Bhartiya Itihas Parishad (Indian Historical Society). The society was established in 1937 by Dr. Rajendra Prasad as the rector, and Sir Jadunath Sarkar as the editor-in-chief.
