Biography

Pratap Singh Prabhakar (1740 – November 1791) was the first ruler of the princely state of Alwar. He was the Raja of Alwar from 1775 until his death in 1791. His father was Mahabat Singh, Thakur of Macheri. At present, Macheri is a village in Rajgarh subdivision of Alwar district. He was succeeded on the throne by his adoptive son and distant relative Bakhtawar Singh Prabhakar Bahadur.
