Filomeno Coronado Ortega (October 7, 1939) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played professionally for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Senators and the California Angels.
Ortega was born in Gilbert, Arizona and graduated from Mesa High School (Mesa, Arizona) in Mesa, Arizona in 1959. He was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an amateur free agent in 1959. He pitched from 1960–1969 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, and Washington Senators. Ortega was of Yaqui Indian descent.[1] During a 10-year baseball career, Ortega compiled 46 wins, 549 strikeouts, and a 4.43 earned run average.
