Biography

Paul Gebhardt is an American musher from Kasilof, Alaska.

Gebhardt grew up in Minnesota, and previously worked as a fisherman. He met Martin Buser in the early 1990s who got him interested in dog sledding.

He debuted in the dog sled race Iditarod as a 39-year-old in 1996, and he has now participated 11 times in this race. His best positions are from 2000 and 2007, when he was placed number 2.

Personal life

Gebhardt also runs a dog kennel in Alaska. He cites hunting, trapping, mushing and exploring Alaska's outdoors as his hobbies.

He is married to his wife, Evy. The couple has three children, Paul Jr., Nikka, Kristin.
