Biography

Patrick O'Shaughnessy (born 29 January 1993 in Riihimäki, Finland) is a Finnish footballer currently playing for Finnish Kolmonen side RiPS.

Club career

O'Shaughnessy made his Veikkausliiga debut on 15 April 2012, appearing as a starter against TPS. After his releasing in Winter 2013, signed for Pallokerho-35 in April 2014.

International career

O'Shaughnessy has represented Finland at age-group level. In November 2013, O'Shaughnessy expressed an interest in representing the Republic of Ireland, stating that he feels "more Irish than Finnish. I think maybe it has to do with my personality and it would make my father very proud if I played for Ireland".

Personal life

His father Robert was an Irish painter from Galway. Patrick is the elder brother of Daniel O'Shaughnessy, who currently plays for Brentford, having previously been at FC Metz.
