Paolo Bartolomeo (born in 1962) is an Italian neurologist and neuroscientist. He is Research Director at the French Public institute of Health (Inserm), Brain and Spine Institute, Paris. He specialized in the study of human visual attention and perception. His research employs several advanced methods, including neurophysiological (intracerebral recordings and MEG), neuroanatomical (high resolution MRI) and behavioral techniques (manual response times and eye-tracking), on brain-damaged patients and on healthy individuals. The long-term goal of his research is to bridge the gap between visual neuroscience and clinical neurology of attention and other visual abilities.
