Biography

Orhan Miroğlu (born in Mardin, Turkey) is a Turkish politician of Kurdish descent and a columnist for the Taraf daily newspaper as well as Today's Zaman. He is banned from politics for five years following the 2009 closure of the Democratic Society Party.
He survived the 1992 assassination of Musa Anter, which he says was carried out by the Turkish Gendarmerie's JITEM.
