Biography
Olga Vladimirovna Skabeyeva (Russian: О́льга Скабе́ева; born December 11, 1984, Volzhsky) is a Russian journalist and television host. Two-time winner of the TEFI Award (2017, 2018).
Biography
Skabeyeva was born December 11, 1984 in Volzhsky, Volgograd Oblast, where she graduated from high school. In the tenth grade I decided to become a journalist. Her journalistic career began in the local newspaper.
She studied at the Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University, which she graduated with honors in 2008. Worked as a correspondent for the TV program Vesti.
In 2015–2016 she led the author's program Vesti.doc on the Russia 1 TV channel. Since September 12, 2016, together with her husband Yevgeny Popov, she has been conducting a 60 Minutes social and political talk show on Russia 1, announced as a discussion program on high-profile topics.
In 2018 Skabeyeva was noted in an attempt to discredit British investigation of poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal. At her television program it was said that the Skripal's poising case is 'an elaborate British plot to smear Russia'.
