Biography

Nur Mohammad is a Bangladeshi former Inspector General of Bangladesh Police from 29 January 2007 to 31 August 2010. His son-in-Law Captain Majharul Hayder died in the BDR Mutiny while his daughter was rescued. He was held responsible for torture on university teachers and students during the caretaker government by Fakhruddin Ahmed by a parliamentary probe committee. In 2011 he was the ambassador of Bangladesh to Morocco. His career as a government servant ended as the Secretary of Youth and Sports.

Early life

Mr. Nur Mohammad was born in the village known as Mannikhali located in Katiadi, Kishoregonj.
