Biography

Nick Ferguson (born November 27, 1974 in Miami, Florida, United States) is a former American football safety in the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 1996. He played college football at Georgia Tech.

Ferguson has also been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Rhein Fire, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Denver Broncos in his career.

Professional career

Denver Broncos

Playing with the Denver Broncos, Ferguson made 36 tackles and had one interception before his season was ended by torn knee cartilage sustained against the San Diego Chargers.

Ferguson started seven games before losing his starting position to Hamza Abdullah. He continued to compete on special teams and in a reserve role, finishing the season with 55 tackles.

Houston Texans

On March 27, 2008, he signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans. On March 12, 2009, he re-signed a new one-year contract with the Texans.
