Biography

Nathan W. Hill is an American Historical Linguist and Tibetologist specialized languages of the Sino-Tibetan family, in particular Tibetic languages. He is Reader in Tibetan and Historical Linguistics at SOAS, and is well-known in particular for his work on comparative Sino-Tibetan, Old Tibetan philology, as well as linguistic typology (in particular mirativity and evidentiality).
