Mohammed Ali Shabbir (born February 15, 1957) is an Indian politician currently serving as the opposition leader of Telangana Legislative Council. Born in Kamareddy in Telangana, India, Shabbir has served as a representative for his district and in various government positions since 1989, when he was elected to be First Minister for Minority Welfare. He served as a Cabinet minister under the Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy government, during which time he extended 4% Reservations for minority students.
