Mohamed Rabie , Mohamed Rabie Kotb Aboelsebah (born 1991) is an Egyptian writer. He studied Medicine in Cairo University. His debut novel Kawkab Anbar (2010) won the Sawiris Cultural Award in 2012. He has since published two more novels: Year of the Dragon (2012) and Mercury (2014). The latter was nominated for the Arabic Booker Prize in 2016. Rabie was also a participant at the 2012 IPAF Nadwa, an annual workshop for promising young Arab writers.
