Biography

Mitch Goudy (born 'November 2, 1994), also known as "Rowdie" Mitch Goudy, is an American country singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer from Iowa. His music incorporates elements of country, rock, pop, and EDM, comprising what industry leaders and fans are labeling “hybrid country”. He is signed to the U.S. independent label Third Floor Records. In 2014, the Country Music Association (CMA) identified Goudy as “Who New to Watch”, along with the likes of Chase Rice, Cole Swindell, Lindsay Ell, Lucy Hale, and several more rising stars.

Early life

Mitch Goudy was born and raised in Iowa. He started playing the guitar at age 9 when a sports injury caused him to refocus his extra-curricular activities. His early influences included Eric Church, Garth Brooks and Bob Seger.

Mitch Goudy's Father, Joe Goudy, was the sound man for the local raceway in Eldon, IA. For as long as he could remember, it was a father-son tradition to head to the races together.

I have been singing my entire life, it started when I was 3 years old doing sound checks at a local dirt track every Saturday night. My Dad was the soundman so he let me go up there and 'Check 1, 2, 3...' But eventually it turned into me going up there and singing for awhile. I was around country music a lot so it was just natural once I got a guitar in my hands to sing country music. So I did.

Career

Goudy first began to gain success as an artist after signing to independent label Third Floor Records. Currently, age 21, he considers the road his home and tours extensively as an acoustic solo artist as well as appearing with a live band at many shows On September 14th, 2017, Mitch visited Mercer County High School in Aledo, Illinois, under the approval of Mrs. Day, the principal. He told students how to make there dreams a reality by telling them stories about his life and how he became a star. The students of MCHS really enjoyed his performances of his hit songs..

In November 2013, Goudy’s first official single, "Blow These Speakers Out," debuted on country music radio in the United States. That first single performed well on Music Row charts before Goudy released his second single, “Ain’t My Fault” in June 2014, which he co-wrote with Justin Hill and Diana Upton-Hill. “Ain’t My Fault” charted even higher than Goudy’s first single and was coupled by his first official music video. It was not necessarily a new song to him or his die-hard fans known as the “Rowdies” having been featured on his debut album WILD, then remixed for his second release #ROWDIE), Goudy used his producing skills to create the official radio edit, which received radio promotion across the US.

In 2014, Mitch was approached by STRUT Apparel, an American clothing and accessories label. Goudy is the face of the label and was the featured male model in the line’s debut campaign in 2015.
