Mikhail Shivlyakov (born 30 April 1980) is a former Russian Marine currently competing as a professional strongman.
Strongman Career
Mikhail started training in the sport of strongman at the age of 27. The reason behind him becoming a strongman is that in Siberia there are many strong people and he wanted to emulate them. When he retires, he hopes to open his own Strongman training centre. Mikhail achieved his first big success by winning the 2013 Arnold amateur competition which allowed him to compete in the professional 2014 Arnold Classic which he would place 7th.
