Biography
Michael Dowd (born January 10, 1961) is a former New York Police Department officer arrested in 1992 for running a drug ring out of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Considered one of the most corrupt cops in New York City's history, he spent 12 years in prison. He is the subject of the 2014 documentary film The Seven Five directed by Tiller Russell and produced by Eli Holzman. The upcoming Sony Pictures adaptation is being produced by John Lesher and Megan Ellison.
Career
Dowd currently works as a consultant with the Internal Affairs department of the NYPD and hosts speaking engagements at universities, businesses, and other law enforcement departments around the country. He has recently been featured on many podcasts, periodicals, radio and television programs.
