Biography
Merle Richardson (born 1930) in New South Wales, is a former international lawn bowls competitor for Australia.
She won the fours gold medal at the 1977 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Worthing, England. Eight years later she won double gold at the 1985 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Melbourne, Australia.
Richardson was awarded the Order of Australia for services to bowls in 1987. In 2011 she was inducted into Bowls Australia’s Hall of Fame.
