Mary Brown Wanamaker was a leader in welfare work and politics. She was the first woman to head the Pennsylvania Republican Committee.
She was born in 1869 to John Wanamaker. On June 13, 1895 she married Barclay Harding Warburton I. She died on November 18, 1954.
