Early years
Walton attended Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, Florida. During his career he rushed for 2,769 yards and 45 touchdowns. He committed to the University of Miami to play college football.
College career
Walton played in all 13 games as a true freshman at Miami in 2015, rushing for 450 yards on 129 carries with 9 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he started all 13 games and rushed for 1,117 yards on 209 carries with 14 touchdowns.
